Nitro Verge

Nitro Verge is the racing game we keep going back to. Tracks are built around long drifts and tight chicanes, and the handling model rewards learning a corner instead of brute-forcing it. Both tilt and touch controls are done properly, which is rarer than it should be.

There's a nice progression of cars that feel meaningfully different, not just faster numbers. A grippy early car and a twitchy late one demand different lines, so upgrading changes how you drive rather than just how quick you finish.

Race lengths are short and replayable, and the ghost of your best run keeps you honest. It's the kind of game where shaving half a second off a lap feels like an achievement worth celebrating alone in a café.
